WSOP Launches March Super Circuit Series

This Spring, Michigan poker players can compete to win their cut of over $470,000 in guarantees. The WSOP debuted its online poker circuit Thursday, March 9th. The tournament, officially dubbed the World Series of Poker Online Super Circuit, will run from March 9th until March 26th and will feature eighteen distinct events, each starting at 7 pm ET.

This is the second year of WSOP’s online circuit series. The series launched in April and was a huge success, leading WSOP to host a tournament monthly for the remainder of the year. Usually, WSOP will feature twelve events during their online circuits. This March, WSOP made it extra special for poker fans by hosting eighteen unique events. 

Besides the $470k up for grabs, WSOP is also offering eighteen WSOP Gold Rings, as well as a seat at the WSOP Tournament of Champions event in Las Vegas, WSOP’s largest event of the year where players compete for a $1 million grand prize. To receive an invite for the WSOP Tournament of Champions event, players must win a WSOP Gold Ring by winning a tournament leading up to the event in Las Vegas, like during the online tournament this March.

Event Details

The WSOP always knows how to throw an exciting tournament, and this March is no different. Starting on March 9th, players have a chance to win a cut of $30k in prizes with just a $215 buy-in. Throughout the tournament, the buy-in will vary from $100 all the way to $1,000, depending on the tournament night. 

The festivities begin at 7 pm ET each night with unique tournament formats. The vast majority, seventeen of the eighteen events, are No Limit Hold ‘Em events, with one Pot Limit Omaha tournament on March 15th. For players looking for the largest prizes, consider competing in the Mystery Bounty events. The recently added tournament style awards players for knocking out opponents. When players knock out another player, they receive that player’s bounty prize. Bounties are assigned randomly at the beginning of the tournament. There are three Mystery Bounty events this month, starting with the $30K NLH Mystery Bounty event on March 9th, the $50K NLH Mystery Bounty event on March 12th, and the $40K Mystery Bounty event on the 19th. These events have significantly higher guarantees than other events on the schedule.

For the main event on March 26th, WSOP is giving players a chance to win their cut of $50K. The $50K NLH Main Event features a $525 buy-in and will have an 8-Max (3X Re-Entry).
