Design Works Gaming builds top-performing casino games for some of the biggest names in the industry across three different vertical marketplaces: Real-Money Gaming online, Land-Based Gaming, and Social Games. Their innovative slot creations have made DWG a leader in the 3rd party gaming development since 2005.
“My goal was to create an independent studio that truly understood what players wanted—and hire the best talent possible—to give slot manufacturers exactly that.” said, founder and CEO, Troy Zurawski.
As of recently, DWG is expanding its US casino potential, contracting a deal with Caesars Casino in Michigan, and taking its gaming content live.
Caesars Entertainment Senior Vice President of iGaming, Matthew Sunderland, said, “At Caesars, we take pride in bringing an exceptional online casino experience to our players across the US and DWG is like-minded and committed to bringing some of the most innovative games to the market. We’re thrilled to offer Caesars players in Michigan access to DWG’s quality titles.”
Rapid Growth for DWG in Michigan
In October 2021, Design Works Gaming was approved by the Michigan Gaming Control Board to operate within state lines and has been expanding since. DWG partnered with BetMGM in Michigan to launch its games at Michigan’s most popular online casino. Shortly thereafter, they added a partnership with DraftKings Casino MI.
The most recent partnership with Caesars Casino MI will bring its slots and LuckyTap titles through the Light and Wonder OpenGaming Platform. Caesars players in the state of Michigan will have access to Break the Bounty Luckytap and 10x Fortune games by DWG at launch.
“Caesars is home to many of the most iconic gaming brands in the US, which makes them a perfect home for DWG content. By launching initially with Caesars Casino Michigan, we’re bringing our top titles to a significant audience with high expectations for their gaming experience,” added Zurawski.
By adding Caesars Casino MI to its portfolio, DWG has now acquired the top names in the iGaming industry in the state of Michigan. This is another landmark in DWG’s US gambling objectives, securing its spot in the Great Lake State.
Success in Michigan Casinos
2022 was one for the record books, with online casino operators bringing in total adjusted gross receipts of $1.43 billion.
The latest additions of DWG’s games to Michigan’s online casinos are increasing the variety for casino players, helping support the state’s rapidly growing iGaming market.
“After the success we’ve seen with our games in New Jersey, our team is brimming with excitement to finally be live in Michigan and to debut with the largest operator in the state,” CEO of DWG Troy Zurawski told PlayUSA. “In just a few short months since going live with BetMGM in New Jersey, we’ve seen unmatched dedication to creating the best player experience possible.”
DWG’s Future Possibilities
Design Works Gaming also holds its presence in the state of New Jersey with deals through Golden Nugget Online Gaming. They have additional licensing in Connecticut and Pennsylvania. We are likely to see DWG move to further partnerships and deals in these states following their success in New Jersey and Michigan.
Further innovations within the partnership of Caesars are expected in the coming months. DWG revealed they plan to add content to various Caesar’s brands, such as World Series of Poker and Harrah’s across the United States.
